Give Me Hips

Max Azria. Enough said? I think so. His Herve Leger Fall 2010 ready to wear collection is calling my name.... "Ashley, are you ready to wear me?!" I want to scream back "YES!" but I can't. One day though, one day.

Calling my name.

This collection is all about giving women hips. All the ladies that lack this feature in their figure, can now give the illusion of having the coke bottle shape. This style will just add to my bottle!

The jacket.

I could see Rihanna in this. lol

Check out style.com to see the rest of the collection.

Hot. That is all.

The Red Truth

New York Fashion Week opening night debuted the annual Red Heart Truth fashion show. It's nice to see celebrities of all shapes and sizes walk the runway for a good cause. I'm not trying to be funny, but I get tired of seeing the walking clothes hangers (models) on the runway. But that's another story. It's fun watching a woman with some personality strut her stuff! Also, being a "Red" b.k.a. a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., I love seeing successful women rally up and tackle important issues facing our gender. If DST and the Red Heart Truth fashion show collaborated, that would be hot!
Anywho,  the red dress collection is all about recognizing women's #1 killer, heart disease. Most of the time when you see health awareness events, they're very informative but not entertaining. This spunky fashion show is all about entertainment.  That's why it's fit, fab AND fun!

Hedi Klum looks amazing as always in this John Galliano dress. This dress looks like it could be a jump suit.

Jordin Sparks is beautiful in this Badgley Mischka gown.

Diesel! But Fabulous. lol The talented Regina King looks ultra fit in Tracy Reese.

My favorite gown of the night was a Oscar de la Renta creation worn by Felicity Huffman. It's just pretty!

For other looks of the night, check out the Mercedes-Benz fashion week website.

They're Back!!!

I went to see the movie Valentines Day on Friday night (I enjoyed it) and saw the trailer for the Sex and the City 2 movie for the first time. I know there will be other trailers later on that keeps us on our toes, but this is sufficient for now.  I clapped at the end. Don't judge me. I'M EXCITED!  This movie will be fit, FAB, and fun! May 28th will be a day to celebrate. I can not wait! Enjoy.

Are you fake skinny?

We all have at least one friend that is as thin as a twig and eats everything. These people are blessed with the "skinny" gene aka a fast metabolism. But just like everything else in life, you shouldn't judge a book by its cover. Just becasue someone seems thin, does not mean they are healthy. If you don't eat right and exercise your body fat percentage can still be high (>28%). This means your at risk for all types of aliments related to being over weight.

Black women always want to be "thick" because that is what are men generally want. I'm not trying to be funny but  will YOU be happy when you're 40 yrs old, overweight and have type 2 diabetes? Let's prevent this fate by working out and watching what you eat.  Please believe I will always eat what I want! But in moderation.  I encourage everyone to do the same.

Watch this clip on "skinny fat" from the today show.

Also for the women that do eat right, exercise and aren't totally satisfied, know that you are better off than the skinny broad eating everything under the sun. All of your hard work isn't in vain!

Stay Fit. Stay FAB. Have Fun.

It's Your Anniversary!

Today is my parent's 25th wedding anniversary. I'm proud of those kids! Staying with the same person for one year is an accomplishment, let alone 25! Lucrative rap careers are more likely to succeed than marriages in this millennium.... Luckily my parents don't fit that mold. So here's to Bill and Barb and the next 25 years! I love you more than anything.
