For the Mommas-Zion
The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill has been in rotation in my car for the last couple of weeks. I LOVE and miss Lauryn's music. She can rap, she can sing AND she plays the guitar...A true artist. No one could touch Lauryn in her prime! Plus we have the same birthday (5/25/75 and 5/25/85) so she must be amazing. Anyways, as I was driving down to Cincinnati for Mother's Day, I thought this song was appropriate for the holiday.
This is for all the mothers that chose to use their hearts and take on the responsibility of becoming a parent.
Enjoy.

You are Strong!
Mother's Day is about shining light on the women that take on the responsibility of raising our future. I'm blessed to personally know a lot of mothers with healthy happy children. Today I want to put the spot light on the PROUD mothers of special needs children. My job has giving me a greater appreciation for these women that devote their lives to advocating for their children. Women that make sure their children receive the care and support needed to make them feel loved. Women that make their children feel included in society instead of excluding them. Going to doctors appointments, meeting with social workers, fighting for fair education, and everything else you endure doesn't go unnoticed. Thank you for your hard work and dedication.
Hopefully these fabulous women are getting a break today. Even if its just an hour of rest, I know they would be grateful. Their friends, family, husband, or significant other should be making their day a little easier. I'm not trying to be funny but if they aren't then maybe they need new friends, family, husband or significant other! Let me calm down.
For the Special Needs Mothers:
Happy Mother's Day ladies!
