Have you tried it?

Who has tried to the new silver Shatter OPI Nail Polish? I bought it last week but haven't applied it yet.
As everyone knows, I'm a chocolate girl with chocolate hands and feet. I don't like wearing dark nail polish.  I already have boyish hands so dark polish looks a mess on me in my opinion.  With that being said, I try to stick with light or feminine colors.  I have the black shatter and I only used it once. Mostly because I don't spend much time on my nails. (I know I should. Especially because my hands are NOT my best figure) Anywho, I liked the black shatter but ONLY because of the light color underneath.  (Pictures below)

Can you see the nails? That the best I can do!

Close Up on my man hands lol.
Billy and I looking amazing

Now I hear the Silver shatter looks best with darker colors underneath because of the contrast of course. What do you all think? When I feel like doing my nails and trying it, I'll let ya'll know!

Have a blessed day!

Inspiring

I saw this commercial on Oprah the other day and instantly got excited. Our young ladies need this message now more than ever! An oldie but goodie from Nike. Two thumbs up!

Stay Fit and FABulous!

Ding Ding Ding!

We Have A Winner!

I know I have been gone for a while and it is for good reason.  Simply stated, I've been busy.  But I'M BACK!AND I'm excited! You ask why, well.......it's my hair! Yes my hair, looks great! I think I have found the perfect combination of products to make my TWA fabulous.  For about two and half months now, I have been rocking the curly natural look.  As I stated in a previous post, I wanted to go heat free because I felt like my hair was breaking off and I was working out all of the time.  Sweat and straight natural hair wasn't working for me.  Especially since my hair is short. SO, I decided to go curly.

Over the last two months I've been having a love-hate relationship with my hair.  Sometimes I love my new look, other days I miss my straight sleek hair.  Throughout my hair journey (it really hasn't been that long but it seems like it) I have experimented with A LOT of hair products.  I won't even tell you how much I've spent on shampoos, conditioners and oils. Its ridiculous.  I'm not trying to be funny but I should be stoned for the amount of money I've spent! Anywho, I was determined to find the perfect products for my TWA.  Today, I think I discovered my perfect combo!

TADA!!!!!!!

  • Trader Joe's Tea Tree Shampoo and Conditioner $3.99 each
  • Beautiful Curls Shea Butter Deep Conditioning Treatment using this xtreme deep conditioning method from the Moptop Maven. $12 at Whole Foods (a little pricey but worth it)
  • Styling with Giovanni's Leave In Conditioner $5.99 and Eco Styler Olive Oil Gel $5
  • Moisturize with Extra Virgin Olive Oil

The Trader Joe's Tea Tree Shampoo and Conditioner is great. Cheap and functional! I love it.  I was using Carol's Daughter's Hair Milk poo and condish for a while and it isn't very moisturizing. My hair NEEDS moisture! This combination is better and much cheaper.

The shea butter conditioner is very thick and smells yummy.  It makes my hair very soft.  Using it with the xtreme deep conditioning method gave my hair the hydration it was looking for.  I've been using the deep conditioner for a while now but I today was the first time I did the xtreme deep conditioning method. Great results!

I moisturized my hair with EVOO right after I rinsed out my deep conditioner and I think that helped with the styling.

Giovanni Leave In Conditioner is my favorite out of the new products.  This stuff is amazing! It gave my curls the definition I was looking for without using too much of the Eco Styler. I put the conditioner on first then the gel. I only used a little of the gel.  I like Eco Styler but it makes my hair too crunchy.   This combination is much better than my Cantu Shea Butter leave-in with the Eco Styler Gel.  I had too much shrinkage and crunchiness with the Cantu.

SO, all of you TWA ladies trying to get that fabulous fro with definition.  Try this combo!  Make sure when you are styling your hair that it is soaking wet.  That's how you get the definition!

Here are some pictures. They don't do my hair any justice. You just had to see it. *shrugs*

I had a couple of pimples so I was doing some spot treatments.  Don't mind the toothpaste. I still liked the pic!

Night night!
