The Boot Banddit

Thanksgiving is over and shopping season is in full effect.  This little fella has caught me eye.

  I love the brown!  But I'd take any color. 

 

I first saw the banddits on a manikin and got super excited. I yelled "oh wow!", then preceded to check out the label on the manikin! I was bent over, trying to find the label. It was sad. I became the boot banddit!   I looked like a jerk, BUT I didn't care. I've been into combat boots lately.  I enjoy this one because its rugged enough without being too masculine. It looks like a classic boot too so I could wear them forever. I'm not trying to be funny but you don't have to spend a months worth of rent on a good boot.

I'm not trying to be funny but Amare is a tall glass of handsome! Mi Amor Amare! Not really but you get my point. Amare Stoudemire's style is impeccable. I was thinking of a man to feature and his name came to mind instantly! Over the past couple of years, Mr. Stoudermire has been everywhere looking fabtabulous! This man is killing the game right now; in the fashion industry that is. The lockout has everyone sidelined. Smh. (I can't wait for Christmas Day!) Fellas take note.  He can dress. Well! All 6'10 of him.

I Couldn't Help Myself

I DO NOT condone all of this outrageous Black Friday shopping.  I think Americans are out of their minds! CRAY!   No sale is worth going to sleep early on Thanksgiving so you can be at a store at midnight! Stop. Just stop. Thanksgiving is about spending time with your loved ones while you give...thanks. It's about eating yourself into a couch coma.  You should end the night watching a family flick while everyone fights over the last piece of pie!  Or maybe that's just my family.

Now that being said, this commercial cracks me up every time! I know I'm silly but this is some excellent marketing Target. I couldn't help myself. I had to share the laughs. Kudos!

Gabrielle Giffords.  This woman is fabulous.  The congress women was shot in the head in January.  Eleven months later, she is walking, singing, and smiling her way through recovery. This woman's story puts a new perspective on life. When you feel like complaining about anything, think about her story. If you are having a bad day, your boss is getting on your nerve, your boo is giving you the blues or maybe your children are making you contemplate adoption, just think of G.G. I watched the 20/20 special the other night and I cried like a new born baby.  Gabby Gifford spirit is beautiful.  Her husband's love is unparallel.  He is the most loving, supportive partner anyone could ask for.  He told his wife, "You are the closet I've come to heaven"  Beautiful!
If G.G. can recover from brain damage with a smile on her face, then surely we can make it through our days with a smile. Attitude changes everything people!

Wrap it up!

Don't let it all hang out, wrap it up! Your hair that is! Nowadays ladies aren't just wrapping their hair at night or for religious reasons. It's about completing your outfit.  I'm talking about the fashionable turban! Hold up now, I'm not talking about that lady that decides to go to the grocery store with her slippers and scarf.  No, not that broad.  I'm not trying to be funny but those women make my teeth itch.  Were you really too busy to put on real shoes? Huh?  Then they want to bring their children along for the ride.  The kids are all embarrassed. They keep offering to go get things so they don't have to stand next the embarrassment, they call mom.  Smh.  It's just sad. Anyways, I'm talking about getting all dazzled up and hitting the town in a turban!  Honestly, I don't know if I would like this look as much if I was not natural.  Doing natural hair takes forever, so covering it up is a nice alternative.

Today is voting day in Ohio! Whoop Whoop! I am encouraging everyone to exercise their right to vote!  Before work, after work, on your lunch break, make it happen!  Don't be that person that complains about everything and does nothing!

You say, "I don't know the issues" * in a whining voice* Here you go for my Columbus folks! This site has all of the issues and candidates on today's ballot.  I guess you're out of excuses! Make it happen!
