See no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil

See No Evil, Givenchy

Hear No Evil, Ulyana Sergeenko

Speak No Evil, Giambattista Valli

I've been on a fashion show kick these days.  My browser is glued to style.com. I'm fascinated with what inspires designers and watching their masterpieces go down the runway.  Couture lines are always exceptional because it is art on the runway. Look at it! Now the pieces above are not my favs from the lines but they worked well with this post.  I wonder what a model was thinking when they found out that they would be wearing a butterfly on their mouth. Or blue blockers with a Givenchy Couture gown.  At first I felt a way about covering up a models mouth like she doesn't have a voice. Then I thought, lighten up bob! These women are getting paid well to wear butterflies. They are A O.K! Maison Martin Margiela upped the ante when he brought back an old staple and decided to conceal the entire face. "Just put on the mask. Go ahead!"

Hey, if I had to wear a mask I would prefer one encrusted with crystals! Hot!

Happy Monday!

I love the couture shows. They really showcase the art of fashion. I'm loving the Giambattista Valli dresses. The butterflies work well with the floral patterns.

Wow! What an interesting way to look at Paris Couture week! I would never have thought to review them in this way - "see, hear, speak" - but you've really made some interesting observations.

I'm actually in Paris, and though I didn't get to see the shows, I"ve been sneaking around outside them. Some awesome street style, but mostly nothing as cool as what you've posted!
